Die neuseeländische Mehrwertsteuer gilt als globales Vorbild: ein einheitlicher Steuersatz, keine Ausnahmen und hohe Effizienz.
Ausländische Unternehmen, denen in Neuseeland Mehrwertsteuer auf abzugsfähige Ausgaben entsteht, können MwSt.-Rückerstattung möglicherweise MwSt.-Rückerstattung .
Um eine Rückerstattung der neuseeländischen Mehrwertsteuer zu beantragen, muss sich ein Unternehmen zunächst beim neuseeländischen Finanzamt registrieren lassen – dies erfolgt im Rahmen des ersten Antrags auf Rückerstattung der neuseeländischen Mehrwertsteuer. Im Allgemeinen hat ein Unternehmen nur dann Anspruch auf eine Rückerstattung der neuseeländischen Mehrwertsteuer, wenn es nicht in Neuseeland ansässig ist und keine steuerpflichtigen Lieferungen tätigt, die der neuseeländischen Mehrwertsteuer unterliegen würden.
Eine neuseeländische GST-Rückerstattung muss halbjährlich beantragt werden und muss mindestens 500,00 NZD betragen, damit der Antrag vom Finanzamt bearbeitet wird.
Im Allgemeinen gilt: Wenn die neuseeländische Mehrwertsteuer falsch berechnet wurde, kann die Rechnung nicht für eine Rückerstattung der neuseeländischen Mehrwertsteuer berücksichtigt werden. Das Unternehmen muss sich an den Lieferanten wenden, um die falsch berechnete neuseeländische Mehrwertsteuer zurückerstattet zu bekommen.
