VAT IT is proud to attend the MENA CFO Convention as a Knowledge Sponsor, taking place 14 to 16 September 2026 at The Ritz-Carlton, Jumeirah Beach Residence, Dubai. The convention is the region’s leading gathering for senior finance leaders, uniting CFOs and their teams from across the GCC and wider MENA to explore the forces reshaping corporate finance, from AI and digital transformation to evolving tax, regulatory, and capital markets dynamics.

Why VAT IT Is There

We’re attending to share what we’re seeing on the ground as the UAE, and the wider region, moves to mandatory e-Invoicing. eezi, powered by VAT IT, is officially listed by the UAE Ministry of Finance as a Pre-Approved e-Invoicing Service Provider, giving us a direct view into what businesses need to get ready.

The UAE's E-Invoicing Mandate at a Glance

Under the UAE’s new Continuous Transaction Control model, businesses will exchange invoices through Accredited Service Providers while data flows in real time to the Federal Tax Authority. Compliance is phased in by revenue band:

  • Businesses with revenue over AED 50 million: appoint an ASP by 30 October 2026, fully compliant by 1 January 2027
  • Businesses with revenue at or below AED 50 million: appoint an ASP by 31 March 2027, fully compliant by 1 July 2027
  • Government entities: appoint an ASP by 31 March 2027, fully compliant by 1 October 2027

Similar mandates are rolling out across Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Egypt, making this a region-wide shift rather than a single-market change.

What We'll Be Talking About

At the convention, our team will be on hand to talk through what the mandate means in practice: readiness timelines, system integration, and how finance teams can turn a compliance deadline into a chance to modernise invoicing end to end.

Key Topics:

  • Finance Transformation: modernising the finance function, operating models, and shared services
  • AI and Digital Finance: GenAI, agentic AI, and automation across close, forecasting, and controls
  • Tax and Regulation: UAE corporate tax, VAT, e-invoicing, and evolving MENA compliance
  • Capital Markets and Growth: IPO readiness, M&A, and funding strategies in the GCC
  • ESG and Sustainability Reporting: regional frameworks, disclosures, and green finance
  • Leadership and Talent: developing the next generation of MENA CFOs

Who Should Attend

  • CFOs, finance directors, and controllers across MENA
  • Heads of FP&A, treasury, tax, and investor relations
  • Transformation, technology, and data leaders within the finance function
