Le imprese straniere possono richiedere il rimborso dell'IVA austriaca sulle spese locali presentando una domanda di rimborso IVA in Austria. Le imprese dell'UE presentano la domanda tramite i portali fiscali nazionali, mentre le imprese extra UE devono presentare una domanda cartacea. Per ottenere il rimborso dell'IVA austriaca è indispensabile presentare la documentazione adeguata e fatture valide.
Le aziende devono richiedere la registrazione IVA austriaca se superano le soglie di fatturato locali o svolgono attività imponibili in Austria. Ciò include le società straniere che non hanno una presenza fisica nel Paese. Una volta registrate, le aziende ricevono un numero di partita IVA austriaco, necessario per la fatturazione e la conformità alla normativa austriaca in materia di IVA.
