Singapore past GST toe op digitale diensten op basis van de locatie van de consument
Singapore heft GST op digitale diensten die door niet-ingezeten leveranciers aan consumenten (B2C) worden geleverd onder het Overseas Vendor Registration (OVR)-regime. Niet-ingezeten leveranciers en mogelijk ook elektronische marktplaatsen moeten zich registreren voor GST als hun wereldwijde belastbare omzet meer dan 1 miljoen SGD bedraagt en zij voor meer dan 100.000 SGD aan digitale diensten leveren aan consumenten in Singapore. Voor B2B-transacties geldt het verleggingsmechanisme, waarbij de lokale zakelijke afnemer GST moet afdragen in plaats van de buitenlandse leverancier. Marktplaatsen kunnen ervoor kiezen om GST te heffen op B2B-leveringen.
Let op: voor registraties bij Digital Services in Singapore is geen fiscaal/lokaal vertegenwoordiger nodig.
Niet noodzakelijk. Op dit moment e-invoicing vrijwillig voor de meeste bedrijven die voor GST geregistreerd zijn. Echter:
Vanaf 1 mei 2025 wordt vrijwillige vervroegde toepassing aangemoedigd.
Vanaf 1 november 2025 is het verplicht voor nieuw opgerichte, vrijwillig geregistreerde bedrijven die voor de GST zijn geregistreerd.
Ja, maar het is vrijwillig. Bedrijven kunnen e-invoicing B2B-transacties via InvoiceNow (Peppol) invoeren om de efficiëntie te verbeteren, ook al is dit nog niet verplicht.
Momenteel zijn er geen sancties voor bedrijven die InvoiceNow niet gebruiken, behalve voor bedrijven die onder verplichte fasen vallen (bijvoorbeeld nieuwe GST-geregistreerden na april 2026). Het gebruik ervan kan echter worden verwacht of gestimuleerd in sommige B2G-contracten.
